It was Tyler's birthday when we went to the animal kingdom. It was so fun to spend the entire day with Tyler and enjoy being together. He is the most wonderful father and husband and we are so blessed to have him. We of course had to get him a birthday pin, and he was a good sport doing that for the girls. They still had the Christmas tree up it was cute with all of the animals so we took a few pictures there. We started the day by going on the Jungle expedition it was huge in there, We saw a ton of animals in there walking around hippos, giraffes, cheetah, ostrich, etc. It was a really fun way to see a lot of animals. Then we went to the Lion King Show it was our favorite show the entire time, it was so good. Then we went to Dino land ans went on rides and the kids played in the huge play area which was a nice break for the grown ups. Even though it was warm it started to rain for a couple of hours but we were prepared and had our ponchos and umbrella from Walmart. Since it was raining we figured hey let's go on the rapids ride. Well anyone not in a poncho got soaked, but it was so fun. Then we went on a big roller coaster that was so fun even Jordyn wanted to do and she loved it. We saw a few characters which the kids were thrilled about and went to the awesome bird show. Where I got hit in the head by one of the birds flying over head. The new watched the parade. I will have to say we loved this park and all the other shows were incredible, but the parade was a little lame. We still had fun watching it though. Since it was Tyler's birthday we went to Chili's for dinner and sang happy birthday to my loving husband. We agreed that since there was still a lot to see at this park that we would use our extra day to come back here. We then got the kids settled in bed and ended another wonderful day in the hot tub.

The big Kiss

Our second Disney day was spent at Epcot. It was such a neat park with a lot of things to see. First think we saw was the huge ball from the parking lot. The girls were so excited because we were able to see an area where we were able to see five different characters and since we got there early the line was not long. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto, and Goofy. We then started the day off by going to the Sea exhibit. We saw all of the animals in that area, the girls loved the dolphins. The finding nemo ride was really cute too. Then we headed over to the land area. Where we saw a really cool ride where they showed us different ways to be green, we actually all really liked it. There green house was awesome, and we all loved see the different ways they grow things. We went on Soarn' which was Jordyn's favorite ride. Then we headed over to the section of Epcot with all the different sections of the World are. First we hit up Canada it was really cool and they had a fun movie all about Canada. Then we went to the United Kingdom. Then off to France where we saw Sleeping Beauty, the really small Eiffel Tower but Rylin has read a few book on the Eiffel Tower and got really excited to see it, Then we got some delicious crepes, Yum!Then we went onto Morocco they had some really cool shops and restaurants, and then we ran into Jasmine and Aladdin. Japan was next with a some neat bridges and drummers who did a fun show. Then the American Adventure where we had some different kind of funnel cakes and then some of us watched an awesome show about America. I can truly say I am so proud to be an American and I love our country. Then Italy was really fun and it was on to Germany. They had an amazing chocolate and Carmel shop. Oh my gosh I think gained ten pounds in there. We had to try just about everything Carmel chocolate covered everything popcorn, rice krispie treat, pretzels, strawberries, etc. I was in heaven. Then we went into this really cool ornament shop and since we have our Christmas tradition with ornaments we though it would be fun to get a special Disney World ornament. In there they had special ornaments from Germany that our hand blown in Germany and made exclusively for Disney World. We picked one out that we liked and went over to China where we saw Mulan. It was great the girls all got there pictures taken, and then Mulan asked to take a picture just with Tyson. Let me explain Tyson is not into anything girlie he is all boy. When Mulan planted a huge kiss on his cheek his face went from smiling to complete terror. It was great and the he spent ten minuted trying to rub the bright red lipstick off his cheek, oh it made my day. Then we hit up Norway and Mexico and then went on a couple of more rides that were fun. Even though there was still a lot to do we were beat and so we took the kids home and got them into bed at a decent time that night. Epcot was Tyler's favorite park and the rest of us all really, really liked it. After the kids were settled we hit up the hot tub again to sooth our tired feet and spend time visiting and laughing.

We went to Florida for our family vacation recently. We had a glorious time. We met Genesee, Leslie, Nick, Tyson, Grammie, Grampy, and Tiffy there. We flew in the girls did great on the flight, picked up our car, got some groceries, and checked in at the condo. Gene and Leslie had gotten a wonderful three bedroom place that was so nice and in a great location. it made it great so we could eat breakfast there every day and pack snacks and lunches. It was fun to all be in the same place so after the kids went to bed we could spend time visiting. After we got settled in we got the kids in bed and got all set for our fist day at Disney World. Our first day was at the Magic Kingdom. We got there right when it opened at got our First Visit pins. We took a ferry over to the Magic Kingdom Island. I couldn't believe how big the monorail was and the hotel on the little lake. You could see the huge castle across the lakes and we were all excited. Cinderella's Castle is really beautiful and I fell in love with it. We hit some fun rides a lot of them were similar to Disneyland some better some not as good. We watched Mickey's philharmonic 3D show it was my favorite thing of the day. It was so cute the kids giggled throughout the show and thought it was so fun. Then we went on the Winnie the Pooh ride. Way better than the one at Disneyland the line had fun little activities for the kids to do. They played the drums, played tug of war, pushed bees around ,played in dripping honey, etc. In the afternoon we went to Downtown Disney holy cow it was far. We had to take the monorail to the bus, and then the tram. The kids went to bibidi bobidi boutique and got knighted and princess make overs. Then we rested our tired feet and at dinner at the rain forest cafe. We headed back over and went on more rides. One of which was Space Mountain and it was Rylin's firs ride and she loved it. We also went on Speedway which I have a funny picture of Jordyn driving the car that I barley got because she made a huge deal about not driving and then last minute she changed her mind and hoped in the drivers seat and took off with grampy. We all enjoyed watching the castle being lit up at night. Made my love for the castle grow. All in all it was a fabulous day at the magic kingdom we went on almost every ride and got some autographs. Which my girls were so excited to do because of all the times we have been to Disneyland we have never let them get autograph books, so that was one of their favorite things to do there. We had a fun time finding different characters. It was Nick's first time ever doing anything Disney so it was fun to watch him experience that for the first time. At the end of a long day we headed back to the hotel put the kiddos in bed (they all passed out) Tiffy stayed with the kids and the adults all got in the hot tub. It was so the perfect way to end the day.

Jenn's sister Jessica was having a baby and she wanted to go up and see the sweet new baby, so we decided to carpool up and go see Spencer and Kim. Jenn, me and the five kiddos loaded in the car for the drive up. As you can see Rylin had fun with her camera in the car. They actually all did really well considering five little kids for hours in the car. It was fun to listen to them giggle and laugh and to spend tiem talking with Jenn. We actually all ended up with the flu when we got up there :(. In spite of being sick part of the time we still had a fun time visiting and being together. We played Kinect at their house, spent a lot of time visiting and sitting around the house, saw Arthur Christmas, and we went and saw some lights on our last night there when we were all feeling ok. It was really beautiful and they had an amazing violin player there and we danced under the lights. It was short trip, but we had a great time seeing Ansley, Clay, Spencer, and Kim. Thanks for a great stay hope you guys don't get sick love you.

Karen had to work on Christmas Eve and Christmas, so we got together the day after Christmas. We played and opened gifts for the first little while. Then once everyone was there we went on a hike and enjoyed nature. We sat down for awhile and shared our testimonies and talked about our favorite things of Chirstmas. It was so great to do that in the beautiful scenery our Father in Heaven created. Then we went back to the house and enjoyed a delicious dinner and some Christmas crafts with the kids. We had a wonderful time spending the day together.

Christmas morning was so fun, except for the fact that Rylin and Jordyn were up at 5. I told them the night before we would not open presents before 6. They layed in bed with us with Jordyn asking every 5 minutes if it was time to get up. The excitement was so cute we ended up laying in the bed giggling almost the entire time, it was fun to share in the magic. At 6 we got Paytin up and the fun started. Santa ate all of his cookies and milk. The girls loved their gift Rylin asked for a camera, Jordyn a Dinosaur Train, and Paytin a kitchen. They also got some gifts from Dad and Mom, Aunts, Cousins, Grandparents. They had a great time. We then had a nice breakfast with Aunt Marcy and Uncle Greg. Then it was off to church for beautiful speakers and music. I loved the spirit we felt that day. We came home and took naps that was nice as we had been going and going. We skyped with Nana and Papa since they had to stay home since my poor Dad was so sick with Kidney stones. Rylin took a few pictures with her new camera. We read scriptures and a couple of great Christmas stories, and then went over to our friends The Tuckers house. We had a delicious Italian feast and enjoyed visiting with our great friends Tuckers and Englands. We headed home and ended a great Christmas day.

After having Christmas Eve with my family. We headed over to Tyler's families house to spend time with them on Christmas Eve. We had a wonderful dinner and then the kids put on a little nativity while we read Luke 2. Rylin was the Angel and Jordyn was a Shepard, and Paytin was a sheep/ The kids were so cute and it really helps them understand more about the birth of the Savior.

We went to the Sundbergs for our Christmas get together. We had an adventurous dinner this year as Dad thought it would be fun to order some duck and pheasant. Everyone tried it and it was good. We then enjoyed a beautiful Christmas story by Dad and of course during our devotional time the babies got bored and went in the cupboards and found some cereal to enjoy. Then we exchanged gifts, watched a family slide show, and enjoyed time together. It was a wonderful night and a great way to celebrate together.

Jordyn's Class did a show called Rock n Roll with Mother Goose. It was adorable and Jordyn was wonderful in it. They sang all of the nursery rhymes and performed a song in sign language. Jordyn was the little old woman who lived in a shoe and one of Mary's Flowers. It was fun to watch our little girl perform.

The start of December was a fun night. We had a fun family night together. Did a family service project, read a Christmas story, started our advent calendar, and the Christmas Elves left us a a special surprise "The Elf on the Shelf". We read the story and learned all about what the was expected of our family with our new Elf. The girls named their Elf Twinkle and have had so much fun shoeing her how they will be good so they can be on the nice list and finding her in her new hiding place each day. We have so many great activities planned for the month. I really love the Christmas season the giving, the joy, the spirit, the fun, the family and the festivities.

We went to Dad and Mom Sundberg's for Thanksgiving. Dinner was delicious with the best turkey ever, potatoes, corn, salad, rolls, jello, pie, and chocolate covered strawberries. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family, the gospel in my life, to live in a free country, for the opportunity to be a mother to my beautiful daughters, to have a wonderful and loving husband, and for all the numerous blessings in my life. It was a nice day with our family.

It is that time for Christmas decorations, YAY! I love the Christmas season the lights, the season, the feelings, and the joy. It is so fun.We got our decorations out and got our tree up. The girls are always so excited for the new ornaments every year. This year we picked out a Princess fairy Minnie for Rylin because she loves things that are sparkly and princess', Jordyn got an Ice Skating Minnie because she loves Ice Skating books and movies, and Paytin got a Tinkerbell ball because we think she looks like Tink a little and she loves balls. We had a great time listening to Raffi and putting up our ornaments.

My Two Year Old Girl

Paytin turned Two, we can't believe how big she is now. She sleeps like a champ (she really always has) she sleeps about 12 to 13 hours at night and takes about a 2 hour nap still. She is a mess when she doesn't get her sleep and when she is tired she asks to go night night with blankie and paci. Paytin love music a couple of her favorite songs include Scripture power, I am like a star, the wheels on the bus, and Dynamite. She loves to dance, play at the playground, go on the swings, and the slides. She loves food but is the pickiest of all my children. She loves yogurt (which she calls ccc), cheese, applesauce, cereal, strawberries, and bananas. She love to read books, sing songs, and do puzzles. She has a little temper that appears when things do not go her way and she knows how to throw mean temper tantrum, especially if she is tired or hungry. She doesn't like strangers, but she loves her family especially her sisters (she calls them Ry Ry and Jordy). She loves to laugh and giggle. She loves to twirl in dresses and she loves animals. She is such a delight and joy in our lives. She is loved by her entire family. We love you Paytin happy 2nd Birthday.

On Paytin's birthday we thought it would be fun to take them to Sea World. We had a great time since they had it all decked out for Christmas. They had a fun area set up called Snow World. Where there was snow blowing, snow to play in, and a little sled track. The kids loved it. Then we went over to Santa's Village met Santa (paytin only waved), saw Reindeer, Elves, Ballerina, etc. Grandpa Will and Grandma Gail and Savannah met us for the day. We went to the Shamu show, the Dolphin show, and rode a few rides. It was a great day for the family and our birthday girl.

So this little group of friends from church, Reagan, Paytin, Maura, and Charlotte (born in that order) were all born within two weeks of each other. It was so fun for all of us to be pregnant together and then to watch them all grow, enter nursery, etc. Last year Rachel hosted and then took pictures of all the girls together. That was an experience. Trying to get them all looking at the camera was hilarious. At the top are the pictures from one year ago when they were turning one. This year I hosted a little black, white, and pink themed party. Thank you to Alma for walking me through all the decorating ideas (so cheap and cute) I am not creative so I needed a tutor. I filled my entire front room with balloons and the girls just danced and ran around in the balloons. Then we had lunch and the girls exchanged little gifts. Then Paytin was tired so we sang happy birthday and had cupcakes. They all loved the candles and singing. The girls all loved the cupcakes minus paytin. She pushed hers off the table after she blew out the candles. It is so fun to watch these little friends grow together and was such a fun day getting them together celebrating them turning two.

They had a picnic, played games, learned all about the fall fundraiser, and most importantly donated a lot of food for those in need. We really have loved all of the wonderful things Rylin has learned from Girl Scouts. She had a wonderful time that day with her troop.

I was able to help in Jordy's class again for pumpkin day. It was fun to watch the excitement over all the stations and things they got to do. I was in charge of how many tall again. The kids all made a fall hat and then went on a hat parade. Jordy looked adorable and had such a fun day, and loved having mommy help in class.

So Grammie had her Halloween Party again. It was so much fun this year since more cousins live in town. The house was all decked out in Halloween gear. We played relay races, musical chairs, find the skeleton, digging through brains, and decorating pumpkin cakes. The kids had so much fun playing together. The girls and I thought it would be so much fin this year to do a costume with all of their hair colors. WE looked around and they decided on doing the strawberry shortcake friends. So the girls wanted to do this a lot, so I ordered costumes that I found on line. They came and they were horrible. They were so small and looked so cheap. A friend in the ward came to our rescue because the girls had their hearts set on this. So she made these adorable costumes and the hair accessories. They just looked adorable. Rylin as Orange Blossom (since she has brown hair), Jordyn as Strawberry Shortcake (since she has red hair), and Paytin as Lemon Meringue (because she has blonde hair). It was so fun and the kids has a great time trick or treating with their friends. Paytin liked it ok but she doesn't like strangers very much so she would go from having fun to being scared. Rylin and Jordyn loved inviting their cousin and friend Grace and Brooklyn. It was a great night and they just looked adorable.

It was time for our annual spooky dinner. This year my Aunt Marcy and cousins came over too. We made bloody eyeball soup, witches brew, bats eyes, slimy eyeballs, graveyard dig, and spooky owls. We set the mood with the witches brew, candles, and Halloween music. Jordyn was afraid at first to go near the witches brew it was cute. We had a fun evening of visiting, dancing to our Halloween music, and eating a lot. It is always such a fun tradition the girls look forward to every year.

Uncle Danny

My very sweet Uncle Danny passed away recently. Uncle Danny was the type of person who lit up the room when we walked in. He had a way of making you feel like you were the person he loved the most when he was talking to you. He was a husband, father, grandfather, son, uncle, brother, cousin, friend, science teacher, coach, athlete, and the list goes on. He loved basketball, tennis, golf, really any sport. He loved his family so much. He touched so many of his students lives in so many ways. He had a laugh that was infections and a hug that made you feels so safe. One of my favorite stories about Uncle Danny is when he was out our house visiting when we were younger and my mom didn't want us eating in the living room, but my Uncle convinces and says no one will spill because anyone who does is Dopey. She agrees and two seconds later my brother Spencer is saying I'm Dopey Danny. That story always makes me smile. Uncle Danny always told me I gave the best hugs, called me his sweetie, and that he loved me so much. The memories and stories can go on forever. He passed away very peacefully on Sunday the 9th of October. The emotions that over came the family were sad. We all came together to comfort one another. I felt the Lord's love embracing all of us and spreading to all of the different places we were. I know the reunion of Grandma Jeanne and Uncle Danny that day was so joyous. I can only imagine how happy my Grandma was to hug her son that day. The funeral was Friday and it really was beautiful. The eulogy and talks given were just celebrating his wonderful life. There was one point during the service when my Uncle was talking about him being in heaven and the sun came out for the first time that day and filled the room it was so beautiful. It was if the Lord was sending His love down telling us all will be fine. After the service we went over the the grave site. It was a very sad moment. My Uncle David did a beautiful job dedicating the grave, and the spirit just spread with comfort. After that they released three doves that circled three times over head and then flew away. It was hard leaving and saying good bye. I know that we will see Uncle Danny again, but it is hard to say bye knowing we sill miss him so much. I can't express my gratitude to my Savior for the gospel and his atonement. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful family who I love so much. Uncle Dan I love you thank you for being a wonderful Uncle, lots of hugs and kisses until we meet again.

TYLER Daniel A. Tyler, beloved teacher and coach, age 54, of Reynoldsburg, OH, formerly of Portsmouth, passed away on October 9, 2011. He was born on August 9, 1957 to Vernon Tyler and Jeanne (Arnold) Tyler in Mesa, AZ. Dan worked as a middle school science teacher for 18 years in the Big Walnut School district. He also taught in the Licking Heights and Coal Grove school districts for over 10 years. He touched the lives of countless students through his teaching and coaching efforts. Dan will be remembered for his kindness, unselfish service and his love of students, friends and most of all his family. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Tyler; children, Tami Tyler, Angella Holloway and Daniel L. Tyler; grandchildren, Jewel Seery, Mikayla Nelson and Brayden Ball; parents, Vernon and (Marilyn) Tyler; siblings, Cherie and Mike Tait, Gail and (Paul) Duplain, David and (Nancy) Tyler, Dr. John and (Dr. Laurel) Tait, Jeff and (Vicki) Tait, Marcy and (Greg) Tyson and Melissa and (Bob) Wackerman and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother Jeanne Arnold Tyler and sister Cynthia Tyler. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the PFIEFER FUNERAL HOME, 7915 E. I flew in the day before the funeral, so I stayed a few days after to spend time with my family and just be there to comfort each other. The first thing we decided to do together as a family was go and get Mint Chocolate Chip Freezes from Nordstrom cafe. It was one of Uncle Dan's favorite thing to do. Every time I came to Ohio Uncle Dan took me to do this. We sat around and told so many of our favorite stories about Uncle Danny. We laughed and cried and just tried to enjoy time together because that is what he would want. WE went to his High School Football game where they were having a moment of silence and tribute to my Uncle Dan. All of the football players that night wore DT on their helmets that night and dedicated the game to my Uncle Dan. He was a coach and science teacher who card so much about his students and he touched many kids lives. It was wonderful to meet so many of the people who loved him. We all went down to stay at Aunt Gail's house for a few day in Portsmouth, that is where my Mom and her siblings grew up. We spent time driving around Portsmouth looking at all the places they lived. Uncle David told us stories about him and Uncle Dan, and the trouble they got into as little boys. We walked along the Ohio River and looked at all the murals on the flood wall. We had family dinners together and spent a lot of time looking at old pictures. We reminisced about Grandma Jeanne and Uncle Dan and all of the wonderful memories we have had together. With my parents being so far away on their mission it was just not feasible for them to come home. It was really hard on my mom to not be able to grieve with her family over losing her brother. I was so inspired by the way she leaned on the Lord and let her Savior ease her burdens. I know the Lord blessed her with being so far away with His comfort because my parents are exactly where He wants them serving in Fiji. My Dad was very supportive and sweet in helping my mom through this as well. I am so grateful to have such wonderful parents. We went back to Columbus where we went on some walks and looked at more pictures. We spent an afternoon shooting, playing pine cone, and talking. On our last night in Ohio we had a family fireside. We spent time together, roasted hamburgers, and hugged a lot. My heart really aches especially for my cousins Danny and Tammy, and my Aunt Sheila as I can't imagine the difficulty of losing your father and husband. I know there are so many prayers being said for them, and I am so grateful for that. Then we spent a couple of hours sharing more memories and then our testimonies. The spirit and comfort we felt that night was indescribable. The Lord is watching over my entire family and sending his love infinite love to us. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life to give my the perspective of eternity. I am grateful for my family and for the Lord's plan of being together forever.

Spencer, Kimmie, Clay, and Ansley came down to go to Disneyland and visit us. We spent the first weekend visiting, playing games, and eating (we ate a lot which i think is fun). The kids literally played out side all day. Little Clay loves to be outside so he was just eating it up. We went to play mini golf one day which was a little crazy but so fun. We then spent Tuesday and Wednesday at Disneyland together. The kids loved going on rides together and Ansley was such a trooper when we were there. Clay really loved seeing Captain Hook and going on the Winnie the Pooh ride. Rylin and Jordyn were just so excited to show Clay around Disneyland that is all they had been talking about for weeks. I ended up leaving early for a funeral for our Uncle (I will write more about that later) so I missed the last day at Disney and hanging out on Friday. I enjoyed the time of being a "baby hog" with little Ansley, and getting to watch Clay enjoy the Disney magic. It was a nice visit and I always love being with family. We love you guys, thanks for sharing such a fun time with us, and can't wait to see you soon.

Finally the time that Jordyn has awaited for her very special fiver year old trip with just Daddy and Mommy. She has been waiting for her trip since Rylin went on hers. We talked about what we wanted to do together and her biggest thing was going to the bibbidi bobbidi boutique like Rylin. Friday we headed out to my grandparents condo in Palm Springs for the night. We ate dinner together, played games, and talked. We all hit the hay for the night and got up the next morning ate breakfast, went on a walk, and went swimming. Then we got ready and went to play mini golf. We then ate lunch, went to the play ground, and the mall. We came back to the condo had dinner and rented Rio to watch together. Then Sunday morning we came home and spent our normal Sunday together as a family. Then Monday when Jordyn got out of school Mom, Dad, and Jordy went down to Disneyland. First she got her Princess makeover at the bibbdi bobbidi boutique. She wanted to do red hair like hers and wear her Tangled dress. We spent the rest of the afternoon and evening going on whatever rides she picked and had fun spending time with our special five year old girl. Jordyn is such a fun girl to be around. She is sweet and thoughtful. She loves school and learning new things. We had the best time just getting to enjoy a special weekend with our beautiful little red head. We hope she know how special she is to her Mommy and Daddy and how much we loved creating memories with her. We love you Jordyn thanks for having a great weekend with us.

I was able to go and help Jordyn's class on apple day. It is a fun day where they do all sorts of things with apples. How many apples tall, what color apple tasted the best, do apples float, etc. It was so fun to be in the class and watching Jordyn enjoy her friends and school so much.

September is one of the best time to use our Disney passes because there are a lot less people, so we had fun going as a family to Disneyland one night. The girls were so excited because they finally got to ride the new Ariel ride. It was pretty cute. We also watched and the girls danced in the Phineas and Ferb show. Paytin went on Dumbo for the first time, and loved it. It was fun to be back at Disneyland and enjoy the small lines.

The girls have been loving their new classes and friends, and have had new homework and projects. One project Rylin had to do was a family tree project. We did as a family and also turned it into a genealogy lesson. It was really neat to see Rylin so excited about her ancestors and learning about genealogy. Jordyn's kindergarten class learned all about the gingerbread man. They chased gingy all over the school, and learned about disintegration, and read many different stories. The day that gingy left they made cute hats and their sweet teacher made them adorable gingerbread man cookies. These are a couple of pictures of what they have been doing.

The girls school every year does a performance for Patriot's Day to remember those who died on Sept 11th and to remember what a great country we live in. I always love this program they do a wonderful job of honoring those who defend our country, and the freedoms we are so blessed to have in America. The different grades all sing different patriotic songs and it always brings tears to my eyes. The girls were all dressed in red, white, and blue and did a great job singing their little hearts out. Jordyn's class sang "America the Beautiful" and Rylin's class sang "This is America".

We went up a few weekends ago to see Ryan since he was down this way for work. Friday after school we headed up and met Ryan at his hotel and stayed with him that night. We went swimming and then went to bed. We woke up early the next day and drove two more hours to go to Yosemite for the day. I have never been there before. It was breath taking. They waterfalls, the views, the hiking, and the scenery was indescribable. After we got there we decided to hike lower Yosemite falls. The girls really loved all the climbing. We helped the girls to the bottom of falls and they loved that hike so much they wanted to go all the way to the top. We enjoyed the beauty of the view when we got up there. We climbed back down and then ate some lunch. After we decided to hike Vernal falls. I really can't believe the girls did all the hiking they did. I thought they would get whiny, but they were so excited to keep going. We went all the way up the top had a snack and enjoyed the view. When I was looking at this stunning scenery I am moved at the beauty of Heavenly Father created for us to enjoy. Seeing the nature like this just reminds me of the power and love of God. When we go on family outings like this I always want the girls to feel see the beauty and creations for the Lord because I know such miraculous things help testimonies grow. It was such a blessing to enjoy this beauty as a family. The way back down Jordyn got tired and Tyler had to give her a ride the last mile. It was such a fun family day together and I can't wait to go there again and see more of this beautiful park.

Paytin and Aunt Bobbie Jordyn had her fifth birthday two days after school started. In the morning she went to school they sang happy birthday to her and she got to bring home the birthday bag. She got to open her present that day from Nana and Papa it was a Rqpuzel dress she was so excited. After school went went over to Grammies and went swimming. We all went out for pizza and then had cake. It was a fun day. We are so proud of our little Jordy Pordy and how much she has grown. She is a sweet, fun loving, silly, smart, funny, up beat, and special little girl. She absolutely loves going to to school to learn and make new friends. She really looks up to her big sister and always says Rylin is her best friend. She is really becoming a great little reader and loves attending church and having FHE. She brings such happiness to our family and is our beautiful and special little 5 year old.

I can't believe she was a little nervous about starting again, but she did great and is really excited about her class. She is growing up so much, but she really loves to learn and loves school. Jordyn started kindergarten this year. I can't believe it, and I thought it would get easier sending her since I have done it before, but it was still hard to watching her grow up. She was so so so excited. Tyler was walking by her room at 5am and she popped her head right up and asked if it was time to go to school yet. We walked into her classroom and met her teacher Mrs. Kane who we already know wince she was the team partner of Rylin's teacher. She was so sweet and gave Jordyn a big hug and hello. Then we went and found her desk and made her raccoon hat. She was insisting she had to color her hat the color of a real raccoon. We went around the room and did some different activities to help her feel comfortable there (she already was). Then her teacher read the story the kissing hand. If I wasn't already feeling emotional well this story did me in. The teacher said it was time to say good-bye so Jordyn came over and gave me a big kissing hand and a hug and said OK Mom you can leave. She was so ready and so excited. When she came home she said It was the best first day ever. It was still hard letting go of another little one to go to school. Those same fears up is she ready, have I taught her what she needs to know, does she know how much her Father in Heaven loves her, does she know how much I love her, will the kids be nice to her, will she be able to always stand up for what is right, and will she remember how special she is. I know she isn't moving away to college yet, but going off to school and out into the world more in scary. I will keep teaching her at home what this life is about and keep praying daily for her to be protected. I will put my faith in my Savior that he will always walk with her and help her to stay strong, and I am so grateful she has this gospel to help her in this life. Jordyn is such a sweet, happy, silly, fun, smart, beautiful, and special little girl. I know she will do great in school, but it is still hard to let go a little bit more to one of my little angels. I am so glad she loves school so much and I know she and Rylin are going to have a wonderful year. They are loving going to school together and are already talking about next year playing on the playground together. I love that they are the bets of friends and I hope that always stays.

Paytin had to get tubes in her ears due to so many ear infections and a ruptured ear drum. Poor baby has had a rough year. We went in bright and early and she got her tubes put in. She was nervous at first but then had fun watching bubble guppies and listening to music. Then when it was time to leave Mommy and Daddy she got quite upset it took two nurses to handle our screaming baby into the OR. It is a quick procedure and she was out fast and all went well. She enjoyed her juice box when she got back and being in Mommy's arms. We love our little girl and hope this will help as much as it helped Jordyn.

This year for the girls birthday we had a combined party. Rylin turning 7 and Jordyn turning 5. We had it at Pump it up and the kids loved it. The first room was filled with different jumpers, basketball, boxing, and slides. Then the second room was full of different jumpers, slides, and obstacles and the room was all glow in the dark and the kids got necklaces to wear. Then we went into the party room that had a throne for the birthday girls. WE had pizza, cake, fruit, and opened gifts. The girls loved their party and thanked all the friends for celebrating with them. On the way home Rylin said it was the best party ever, and Jordyn said we should have a party there next year so she can pump it up again. We love our girls and hope they had a fun birthday.

After Sea World we thought it would be a great idea to take the kids over to see the new Mormon Battalion center. It is such a great center for families. We were able to watch a video about the Pioneers who joined battalion to help the Saints migrate west. It is such a powerful story of how the people were promised if they did this they would never see war, and the faith they had to travel across the plains to San Diego. The kids loved learning about the Mormon bazillion pioneers. At the end they have a little area to look around in and some interactive activities for the kids. We really felt the spirit listening to the stories of these great pioneers and we are so grateful to them for their sacrifice to help bring the church west. I am so happy the church has places like this to take our kids to help them understand more about our history.

Rylin turned 7 and she wanted to spend her birthday at Sea World which is great since we have fun cards this year. The girls love going to Sea World and seeing all the animals. Since it was a special day we let the girls get their faces painted and let Rylin try to climb the ladder. We enjoyed spending the day as a family and celebrating our special girl turning 7. Rylin is such a sweet and special girl. She is a wonderful student and a hard worker. She got straight O's on all of her report cards this year. She loves to read, dance, swim, and play. She is such a big helper and is the best big sister. She will always protect and watch over her sisters. Rylin is already developing a sweet testimony in the gospel and loves church and reading the scriptures. She shared her testimony all by herself in sacrament for the first time this year. She just went up with out saying a word to me and told me it was because she felt good and wanted to share what she was feeling. She is always willing to around the help around the house. She has a very obedient and sensitive spirit, and she is a joy to have in our home. We feel so blessed that she is our daughter.

When Gene and Tyson were here we went on a walk up in the hills and took the kids down to the stream. The kids had a great time playing in the water and jumping on the rocks. Our DancersRylin and Jordyn performed in their first dance recital. They were both amazing in it. They are in the same class so it was so fun to watch them perform together. They did three numbers "It's a Hard Knock Life", "Baby take a Bow", "Tomorrow". It was so cute seeing Jordyn with her curly red hair dressed up as Annie and Rylin looked beautiful in her costumes. It was fun seeing them shine. Rylin was very precise in her movements and wanted to do everything perfectly. Jordyn was just her fun self and wanted to perform and had to sing every word. Rylin had her bridging ceremony a couple of weeks ago where she bridged from being a Daisy to a Brownie. At the ceremony they had to recite the oath, the promise, and then walk over the bridge and switch to her Brownie Vest. Girl Scouts has been a wonderful experience as the main purpose is to better learn serve God, your country, your community, and other people. Their troop has been involved in many service projects through out the year that have included visiting the elderly, singing to them as well, picking fruit, making a ceramic gift for others, making cookies for community workers, cleaning up trash at the beach, and putting flags in veteran’s grave at a Veterans Cemetery to honors those who fought for our country for Veteran’s Day. Rylin also sold cookies this year which was great considering she is just so shy it really helped her learn how to talk to others. They also did other projects that involved using creative skills, they learned about budgeting money to help others and plan a troop outing. It was a great year filled with a wonderful year with so many wonderful moos helping out and of course Rylin’s troop mom Ms, Gwen. She was able to form great friendships and just had a wonderful year and loved being a Daisy. She is so excited for next year and all of the things she will do as a Brownie.

Our Eternal Family

We had heard how nice the new Visitor's Center was down in LA that we have been wanting to take the girls. For family night we went down to the Temple and walked all around the grounds. Then we took a tour of the Visitor's Center. The kids loved listening to Christ talking and touching his hands and feet. It really helped them understand how he was crucified for us. Then we learned all about service and watched a wonderful video about families being together forever. They have a few others interactive areas as well. Then we went over to another area and the kids where able to color pictures on the temple on a computer. They were able to visit with the missionaries. It was a wonderful FHE activity the girls definitely felt the spirit and enjoyed seeing the Temple and the visitors center.

So our sister is becoming a "Sister". Tyler's little sister Bobbie got her mission call to Fort Lauder dale, Florida. She report August 17 and will be speaking Spanish. She waited to go to the temple until we got home so the day after we got back we went with our family to the Los Angeles temple. It is such a blessing to know we can be a family for eternity. It was a beautiful evening and we know that she will make a fabulous missionary.

On our last weekend there we went on the Navua River trip. We went on about a twenty-minute boat ride and we got pretty wet as we hit some rapids and got some rain. We stopped at the Navua village and watched a show, danced with them, took a tour of their village, and had lunch. They cooked fish in the ground the way Hawaiians cook pork. It was neat to meet more wonderful people and learn more about the people of Fiji. Then we got back in the little boat for another 30 minutes and saw beautiful scenery and a huge rainforest. Then we stopped and went on a hike up to a waterfall. This waterfall was so powerful. I could barley swim up there. It was beautiful to see. I am always amazed by the beauty of this world and what the Lord has blessed us with. Then we went on a ride on a Billie raft which is the way a lot of people get around there. We saw people coming home from church all dressed up on these rafts. I don’t know how they do it because we were soaked at the end of this trip. It was so fun. Sunday was our last day so we went to church in my parent’s ward and met more of the wonderful people there. It was such a treat to spend Sunday there with all these people who my parents love. Then we ate dinner together and they took us to the airport. It was hard to say good bye again after being apart and knowing it would be along time again, but after seeing all the things they are doing and feeling the spirit of the mission I know that is where they are meant to be. We had a once in a lifetime trip and even though it was hard to leave Fiji we were happy to get back to our Angels at home. A big thank you to my Aunt Marcy and Uncle Greg for watching our girls, and to Tanya and Tyler and Ashley and Ian for helping out. Also all my friends who helped too. Of course Thank you to my Mom and Dad we had a great time together and are so prod of you. We love you.

On Friday we went to the Suva Fiji temple. We were able to meet some more of the missionary couple serving in Fiji they all inspire me with their stories. We also met the temple president who is my cousins old mission president when he served in Fiji. It was great to all attend the temple together and I just love the unity of bringing everyone together and how it is the same everywhere. Then we went over to the schools my parents have been out. They are directors of the college (which is like junior high and high school) and the Primary school. The children are all so sweet a lot of the kids told me I looked like my Dad and one girl told me I looked like a movie star (she was my favorite)haha. The kids were all so sweet and I can see how much they love my parents. Whenever we walk into a class room at the primary school the kids stand up and say "hello Elder and Sister Tait" they were so sweet. One little boy kept following me around to Aspen the door for me. They sang songs for us and are just so full of love. I know hat this is were my parents are supposed to be serving and watching the school and the children is more of a testimony building experience of how true the church is and how it runs. I love that our church brings these opportunities to these amazing people. We also were able to attend a church function that night and meet all the people in my parents ward. I can just feel the love they have for my parents and just appreciate how welcome they made us feel. It was such a special experience and I will never forget it. I am so blessed to be a member of the church and to have the gospel in my life.

Zip Lining

Views along the Coral Coast

As our sunset on our final day at the Blue Lagoon we were sad, but excited to head out to Suva. In the morning we headed off to Suva we stopped a lot along the way to look at the beauty all around us we saw the coral coast and it was gorgeous. We stopped and enjoyed lunch on the beach and then we headed on so Tyler and I can go zip lining. It is something that we have been able to do on a few vacations and we love it. It was fun to go sip lining through the canopy. All we can see is the rainforest it is so thick. It doesn’t even look like we are that high up in the pictures because the trees were so tall and the forest is so thick. It really was so different than anywhere we have been. The views were breath taking and it was so fun. It was a fun day of visiting, sight seeing, and fun. We ended at my parents flat in Suva and got to see where they have been living for the last 9 months. It was really fun and special to see where they were living and to meet the missionaries they serve with and to get a glimpse into the world they have been living and enjoying.

We went on a beautiful and sweaty hike one day. We hiked all the way up and across the tops of the hills on the Islands. The grass way about eight feet tall and the was very hilly. The view at the top was breathtaking and it was so much fun. I was impressed that my Mom and Dad were able to do this hike considering everyone else who went was about 30 and under. We really enjoyed seeing other side of the Island and it ended right at the beach which was perfect so we could jump in the water. Later that day we went over to see the Village of Nacula. A lot of the staff live here. They are such a wonderful and loving people. They made us lays, danced, performed, and sang for us. They live so humbly and are such a wonderful people. We also were able to visit the school where the children performed songs for us. It was so touching to hear there sweet voices. The children we met on the beach before go to this school and we got to talk with them again. I t was so cute they were introducing us to their friends and visiting with us. When it was time to go they waved at us for as long as they could see us. It was such a neat experience to spend time with these wonderful people.

In between visiting, snorkeling, relaxing, and swimming we did some fun adventures. One we did was Cave Diving. We went on about a twenty minute boat ride until we got to this small Island actually part of the movie Blue Lagoon was filmed at this Island. We climbed up some stairs, climbed under a rock and that led us to a cave that is all open and it is full of fresh water that is there from the rain. It felt cold compared to the ocean. We went into the first cave and swam around then if you wanted which we all did you swim in a tunnel about 4 feet long under water into a cave that is totally black and you could see nothing under water. When I can out the guide has a flashlight so we could see in the cave and look around. in that room if you slammed the water it sounded like thunder. It was really cool in there. Then when you would swim out it was beautiful because you were swimming towards the light and it just looked really cool. I am so sad we didn't think to take an underwater camera on this trip because we saw some many beautiful things in the water. We also did a lot of snorkeling because right off the beach where we were staying was an amazing coral reef that went out a few miles. We saw amazing fish, colorful coral, plants, many things and I am not sure what they are all called, sting rays, and a lion fish. We also went night snorkeling that was really cool. The water is so clear so we could see a lot with our torches in the water. Snorkeling there was incredible and the wonders of all the beauty that our Heavenly Father created is just amazing to me. He really did make a beautiful and diverse world and I am grateful for the beauty we were able to see.

The second day we were pretty tired so we just enjoyed relaxing the the beautiful water, laying out on the beach, reading books, taking a nap in the hammock (that was Tyler's favorite),

and taking quite walks on the beach. On one of our walks on Sunday we ran into a group of kids that were walking from one village to another since they go to school in another village on the Island. We had been talking to the kids about the US and during the conversation one of the girls asked my Dad how old he was. He responded with, "How old do you think I am?" She thought for a minute and said, "70!" We all laughed a lot then my Dad asked her, "How old do you think he is?" (pointing to Tyler) She responded, "55!" We all busted up, and then my Dad was feeling pretty good. So of course he couldn't help but ask "How old do you think she is?" Pointing at my mom. She thought, (and I'm sure was thinking after that last answer I had better go way lower) and says, "31!" Then she guessed that I was 25. But we got a pretty good laugh out of that exchange. Kids have no concept of age. But my Dad said he forgot the rule, "Don't ask any question that you don't know the answer to." It was really funny and we actually see this kids later on our trip again (more of that later). We talked with them a little longer and then they headed on their way. They were sweet kids. We enjoyed a nice quite day and had a nice evening a dinner as we always did. We sat family style so it was fun meeting all the different people and where they had traveled from. We really enjoyed all the different people we were able to learn about as well as some of their cultures and traditions.

Welcome to Fiji

We were so blessed and fortunate enough to go and visit my Mom and Dad on their mission in Fiji. They are serving a ITEP mission and our directors of the church owned schools down there. They teach classes and train teachers, help them earn the credits they need help the teachers improve as teachers, help bring in better educational tools for the students to have more opportunities. They also have a wonderful ward that they serve in their ward as Sunday School teachers. They people there are all so wonderful and sweet and were so welcoming, but before we get there. The start of our trip after our long, long flight was when we landed in Nadi, Fiji. We got through our long lines at customs, got our luggage, and then had a wonderful reunion with my parents, Elder and Sister Tait. It was so good to hug my Mom and Dad and get to talk and visit with them. They were able to be off of school for a couple of days so it was perfect. First we went to Denarau where we had breakfast, got our first glimpse of the beach, and then caught our boat to head out to the Island of Nacula. We just sat on the boat enjoyed the beautiful scenery and talked the entire trip out to the small Island of Nacula. When we arrived to the Blue Lagoon resort we were greeted by the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. Clean, Aqua Blue water, white sandy beaches, gorgeous coral, and the perfect temperature. The staff there greeted us with a beautiful welcome song and a delicious tropical juice drink. We got all checked into to our beachfront Bure and had lunch. We then just enjoyed to afternoon hanging out in the water and catching up until we literally could not keep our eyes open anymore. It was a beautiful and wonderful first day in Fiji. Pictures really do not do the beauty of Fiji justice. In our Bure the bathroom is all private but it is all outside. They have a beautiful shower that is all open on top so you can look up at the sky while washing your hair. The weather was perfect so it was just a wonderful treat. After dinner we went to bed enjoying the soft sound of the ocean as we fell asleep.

Before we left on our trip we thought it would be fun to take the girls down to my Grandparent's condo in Palm Springs for the weekend. We went down Friday night and just played at the condo and had dinner. I used to go to my Grandparent's condo when I was little and my cousin Ashley and I would play restaurant and run around in "our room". It was so fun to watch Rylin and Jordyn do the same exact things that I did as a little girl with out even telling them what to do. Saturday morning we went on a nice walk and went to the play area to run around. Jenn, James, Jocie, and Carter came down to meet us on Saturday. We basically swam all day and enjoyed to sun. The girls were so excited to have Jocie there to play with because they love her. That evening we went to Babe's for dinner delicious BBQ and then for dessert since it had just been my birthday they sang to my with an oinking pig that would grunt at you whenever you reached in for a cookie. It was so funny. Then Jenn and I went and did a little shopping to help me prepare for my trip and then we stayed up way too late watching a terrible movie. We had a wonderful weekends with our close friends and enjoyed hanging out with the girls.

For my birthday we had a family evening at Disneyland. We just went to dinner, enjoyed a few rides, and had fun as a family. This is really the first time Paytin has been to Disneyland (except for as a little baby) she loved it. She loved the Small World and loved, loved, loved the Carousel she would cry every time we got off. We just had a great night together.

They got to be patients and a practice being a nurse. She was so proud of her wrapped leg and that she had a nurses hat. As always Christina and Nicole do a great job.

I started back to school this year at Utah State University (USU). I had gone to RCC previously, but once I finished there the timing hasn't been right to finish with my bachelors. I always knew that when I finished I wanted to go back and do Communication Disorders and ultimately become a Speech Pathologist. When I found out about their program online and they didn't charge out of state tuition I was sold. I really feel that the Lord helped me find this program at the right time for me. I just finished my first year about. I ended up doing two classes each semester and the first semester back was so hard. I really had to learn how to cut extra things out that I didn't have time for as well as balance my family, calling, cooking, and just the rest of my life. I really feel this last semester everything click into place with managing it all. I really loved my classes and enjoy the ones for my major the most. Speech really is amazing. I have loved challenging my mind again and love that this program fits into my life of being a wife and a mother. I still have a few years left if I go part time, but that is fine because there is no rush. I have also been so lucky to be going through it with Jenn and having someone who understands the goods and bads of it. I love the feeling of accomplishment at the end of every semester knowing that I have tried my best and learned so many new things. I am grateful for the support of my husband and my parents, sisters, and brothers. I know the Lord has helped me so much and will continue to as I work towards my goal. I look forward to all of the things I will get to learn as I continue on in this program, but for now I am going to enjoy the summer off and enjoy .

Cute CousinsWe had such a nice Easter Sunday this year. We awoke to our little girls running to find their baskets from the bunny. They each got a yo yo and a little figurine and the family got the movie Tangled. Then we had a wonderful breakfast all together (it was so fun to spend all morning with Tyler, since he is usually at meetings). We spent some time talking about Easter and watched a few Easter clips that were beautiful about the Savior. We went to church and enjoyed some wonderful lessons. We headed off the Aunt Renee to see Tyler's family. We had a wonderful dinner and then had a lesson for the kids about the Savior and His Resurrection and how he died so we can all live again. The kids gave cute answers and were very involved. I love when Andrew said we can show Jesus we love him by sharing our light sabers with each other (that is hard for a little boy), so cute. They also talked about serving and following the commandments. We came home and skyped with my parents a little before bed so the girls could show papa and Nana their dresses (since they got the dresses for them). We had family prayer and off to bed. It really do love being with family and enjoying the spirit of Easter.

The pictures of the girls I really wanted one of the three of them, but Paytin was not having it. I love the picture of Rylin and Jordyn together. They really our the best of friends, and it brings me such joy to watch their relationship grow. I always worry how Paytin will fit in with them being so close, but if she wants to join in the girls always let her. I am grateful for my beautiful daughters that the Lord has blessed me with and the love they have for each other it is such a blessing.

Saturday we went over to my Grandma's house to get together for Easter. My Aunt Marcy and Grandma hid eggs and made baskets for them. All the pictures of Rylin and Jordyn came out so dark and I didn't check my settings when I was there, so there you couldn't even see them. I only got one of Paytin finding eggs, but they all loved it. They loved looking for eggs Rylin was pink, Jordyn was purple, and Paytin was yellow. Then we had a wonderful dinner and the girls got to dye eggs. We just enjoyed our time together that day.

Ryan had to come down to California for work, so the kids and Alma followed and we had fun together. Ryan was gone working most of the time, but we got to see him on the weekends. The kids just were in heaven playing together. We went swimming and went to the park. We also finally got Disney passes again and so we did Disney one day. We loft Paytin home with a sitter because we knew it was supposed to rain. We loaded up with umbrellas and ponchos and headed out. We actually had great weather most of the day but at about 4 the clouds started to roll in and by 5 the rain had started. We put on our rain gear and lasted about 2 1/2 more hours and then the kids were wet and tired, so we left. We waited for about 20minutes for the tram and it was so crowded with people we just walked to the car. We were soaked by the time we got there. We had a wonderful tome that day and made great memories. We also went to the beach on a cold day with the whole family and had a bon fire. We did it in the day because it was cold, but the kids still loved it. We roasted hot dogs and smores and enjoyed time together. Tyler and Dorian went on a camp out with the young men to the sand dunes. Dorian had a wonderful time and even sat down on the board and road it down the hill. The kids played so well at home and were exhausted at the end of each day. The last day before Ryan and Alma had to leave we went back down to the beach since the weather was better. We went down to the tide pools and the kids really enjoyed looking at the different creatures we found. It was a beautiful day the kids ran around got dirty and tired. We had a wonderful time together and were sad to see them leave, but are grateful for our time together.

Playing tag, sharing popcorn, even sharing grandpas (since from far away any man in a Hawaiian shirt named grandpa must be papa Cali was quite sad at first but once Grandpa Will gave her some candy she perked back up), and being silly cousins. Rylin's league for T-Ball had Grandparents Day last Saturday. Grandma and Grandpa Sundberg came out to support Rylin for the day. She was so excited they came to watch her. The team gave all the girls flowers to give to their grandparents. Of course the kids loved it because Grandpa and Grandma spoiled them at the snack bar. It was a fun little event and we are so glad Grandma and Grandpa came out.
