Spencer, Kim, and Clay came down for the weekend. We had a wonderful time visiting and hanging out. On Friday we went down to the San Diego zoo, we actually ended up getting passes since the were such a good deal, it was a great day. The kids loved seeing all the animals and we look forward to going back. We spent a lot of time at the park, playing croquet, and the kids loved swimming in the little pool. We loved playing with Clay watching him take steps and to start standing up on his own. We miss everyone already and can't wait until we see them again.

Jordyn, Grammie, Grampy, Rylin
Tiffany had prom last weekend. She went with her boyfriend Joel and they had a great time. We went down there and took Karen lunch for Mother's day and had cake for my birthday. Then Karen did Tiff's hair and I did her makeup. The kids had a great time playing down there, and we had fun watching Tiffany leave with Joel to Prom. She looked beautiful and we had a wonderful time spending the day with them.

Carrer Week

Rylin in her cute nurse hat and wrapped leg
Here she is with her name blocks
Finally as a Firefighter
This week at Rylin's Pre-school it was career week. Rylin absolutely loved it she came home so excited every day. Monday they had a nurse come and speak to them. They all wore adorable little nurse hats they made, and practiced wrapping each other's injured legs and giving pretend shots. Then they had little bags for being good patients. Tuesday they had a carpenter come. They hammered and painted a wood project with their names. Finally, on Thursday they had a Firefighter come and learn all about what Firefighters do. They attached a hose to the fire hydrant and were able to take turns and help with the hose, as well as try on the gear. They received cute little helmets and paper trucks. She just had so much fun learning about different occupations this week, thanks to all the people who donated their time as well as Christina and Hella who always do a fabulous job.

Happy Mother's Day. . .plus one

To all the mothers I know and love. . . Happy Mother's Day I hope you have a wonderful day.
I would like to give a special thanks to some of the special women and girls in my life.

To Tyler's Mother, Karen, and my mother-in-law. She helped to make Tyler who he is and I love her for that. She is such a fun Grammie with our kids and they love to spend time with her. She is an LVN and is currently working towards getting her degree to become an RN. We appreciate her example of hard work and her fun attitude.

To Tyler's step mom, Gail, and my other wonderful mother-in-law. She also helped in raising Tyler and teaching him important lessons. She is a great Grandma and our kids love her as do we. She is manager at the hospital and has worked for many years as a RN. We appreciate her generosity and her sweet spirit.
To my loving mother,Cherie. My mom raised me with love and service and I appreciate all she has done for me and my family. She is a terrific Nana and our kids just love her. She has been a teacher for about 17 years and teaches third grade and really enjoys it. We love and appreciate her caring spirit and dedicated attitude.
My wonderful daughters who have made me a mother. Rylin is a joy to have in our home she is so smart and serious. She has learned to be more silly with the help of her younger sister. She is excited and nervous about going into Kindergarten. She is doing a fabulous job of learning to read and is excited to do swim lessons again this summer. She is a wonderful helper and does a great job of doing her chores. Jordyn she is just a bundle of fun. She always has a smile on her face and can make you laugh. She loves to sing and dance around. She can be daring and is lucky to have an older sister who takes great care of her and always is watching out for her. She can't wait for pre-school and is going to do great there. They have been a joy to me and I am so blessed.

And we have some exciting and wonderful news. We are expecting our third child and I am 12 weeks pregnant and the baby is due in November. This is a picture of the baby at 9 weeks. We could not be more excited about adding a new little one to our family. I feel truly blessed to be a mother and am thankful to all the wonderful mothers who have helped make me into the mother I am and how I am striving to be better. I am grateful to my wonderful mothers, sister-in-laws, friends, teachers, and children for their example, love, and support. Tyler and the girls have been so helpful during this time and we can't wait to meet this new baby.
