We went to Utah this weekend for a visit with Spencer, Kim, and Clay. After a long drive up (sorry Lyndzee) we got there on Thursday night. Friday morning we were able to attend the Draper Temple open house. What a wonderful experience that was. The temple is gorgeous; Rylin and Jordyn (especially Rylin) loved seeing the temple. Even though we had to wait a little while and Jordyn and Clay got restless, it was amazing. Temples are truly Heaven on Earth and it was wonderful taking my children there and letting them see and feel the House of the Lord.
We were also able to see the Smith Family and that was fun to catch up with them. We miss them since they moved. My cousins who live up there were able to spend time with us too, which was great. They were able to come over for the little birthday party we had for Clay since he had turned one the Monday before. We got him a little truck, but of course he liked the box best. Kim and I took the kids to the aquarium on Monday. It was small, but the kids had a great time. There were a lot of different animals there, and I have to say that octopus are gross. On Monday night we went out to eat and then went to Krispy Kreme where we were able to get cool hats and hot donuts. We had a wonderful time visiting with Spencer, Kim, and Clay and hope to see them in a few months. Thanks for letting us invade your home and we love you.
