Halloween

Ariel
Alice
Our Spooky Family
Angel Tiff and Alice
The Small and Big Angel
Playing Hot Pumpkin
Wrap the Mummy

We started off our Halloween festivities by going to trunk or treating at the church. Rylin really wanted to be Ariel this year and since she got that costume for her birthday that is what she wore. We sprayed her hair red and used a whole bottle. but you can hardly tell. Jordyn wanted to be Alice, from Alice and Wonderland. Rylin loved loved loved trick or treating and could not get enough of it. Jordyn only liked going up to the cars that had no decorations, but they both loved getting candy. Then on Halloween one of the little boys in her kindergarten class had a Halloween party. The kids absolutely had a blast. They played hot pumpkin, wrap the mummy (I wrapped up Rylin and Jordy wrapped up Tiff), they played musical chairs to Halloween music, had a scavenger hunt, bobbed for apples, and decorated ghost cupcakes. The grow ups got in on all the fun too. Since I had nothing that fit Tiff had an extra set of angels wings so we both were angels and I made Tyler dress up so he pulled out his scout uniform and went as a boyscout, but somehow there is no picture. He actually won best male costume because he was the only guy there to dress up, and it was a 20 dollar Miguel's card so he was glad I had him dress up. We had a fun Halloween and we were so glad someone went to all the work to throw the Halloween party. Hope everyone one had a fun Halloween too.

Our princess all dolled up
Rylin got to meet another Fairy Godmother right outside the castle
This last weekend we did a special 5 year old weekend with Rylin. (Where is comes from was this article we read about in LDS Living as well as a tradition Tyler grew up with. When Tyler and any of his siblings were graduating high school they did a special trip away with just their parent no other kids. Tyler went to Hawaii and his other siblings all picked where they wanted to go. It is one of Tyler's favorite memories with his parents. Then we read this article in LDS Living magazine about this family that took their kids on one on one trips every five years to try and create some special memories and alone time that can be hard to find in big families. We decided to combine the two and do a special small weekend trip with each kids every five years and then we will do the big trip at graduation.) This weekend we took Rylin on her special time away with just mom and dad. She has been helping to save for this trip for about three months by doing extra chores at home (washing windows, help with car washing, extra dishes, etc.), and she also helped plan what she wanted to do. We took off Friday after school to head out to the hotel just here in town. We went out for a Mexican dinner and sent out for ice cream. Then we went back to the hotel and watched am movie in bed. She absolutely loved this. Saturday we ate breakfast and then took her to her school carnival; where she played games, got her face painted, went on slides, and decorated a pumpkin. We then headed off to orange county and saw the Play Beauty and the Beast at a little theater in Santa Ana. She loves to go to plays and it was perfect for young kids. Then went to dinner with her gift certificate that she won at the carnival and went home for bed. We went to church Sunday and did our normal thing. Then Monday morning we woke up and we went to Disneyland (this was what she was most excited for was to do Disneyland with just us). Well we surprised her and took her to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and let her get a princess makeover. (It was such a treat because we never buy anything there). She wore her Princess dress there and then got to pick out which hairstyle she wanted and what color hair she wanted and of course it was pink. Her fairy godmother got her all ready for the ball by doing her hair, makeup, and letting her make wishes. Then at the end they open up the magic mirror and reveal their look. She was so excited. We enjoyed the day going all the the big rides she wanted (I sat out a lot that day, but that is ok i loved watching her have a good time). It was so great getting to give her all our attention for the weekend and let her enjoy being our princess for the whole weekend. We had a fabulous time getting to shower her with love and attention and look forward to doing this with the rest of our kids. (Don't feel to bad for Jordyn she has a marvelous weekend with Nana and Papa where she got very spoiled. As well as going to Jenn's and playing with her friend Jocey on Monday.)

Irvine Park

Adalyne, Spencer, Jordyn
Jordyn as corn
Rachel, Jordyn, Parker, Spencer Our ward had an outing to Irvine Park last week, so Jordyn and I decided to go. She had a wonderful time going on the train, doing the hay maze, looking at the animals we saw, and of course playing with her friends.

Crafts with GG

Rylin had to make a bag and hat for Fall Day at school, and anyone who knows me knows that I hate crafts. I called my wonderful Grandma who was coming to my house that day, and she brought all the stuff she has and said she would love to help Rylin make hat. She came over and spent the afternoon making hats and bags with the girls. She is such a wonderful Great Grandma (GG) to my girls. We loved spending the afternoon with her, and Rylin loved telling all her friends at school that she made her hat with her GG.

Savannah's Baptism

Will and Savannah
My sweet little sister-in-law got baptized a couple of weeks ago. She was so excited to get baptized and looked so sweet in her white jumper. Her dad, my father-in-law, Will baptized and confirmed her and did a beautiful job. It is so fun to watch these sweet little spirits be so excited to join our Heavenly Father's kingdom. We love her so much and we are so happy we were there on her special day.
